The Blackberry App World was updated recently to version 220.127.116.11.
I was excited when I first heard this, because I have been having a LOT of problems with the app ever since I updated to version 5.0 and was expecting the new version to fix the pesky bug issues.
Some of these are:
1. When trying to remove an application that I downloaded from the Blackberry App World, I’ve noticed that it doesn’t completely remove it. The icon is still visible, and the application says, “Archived”, in the Blackberry App World.
2. When I try to delete the archived file, it says deletion will occur during next device reboot. But even after several device resets, the archived file is STILL THERE.
3. When I get a notification to update an application from the Blackberry App World, the application says, “Run”, instead of, “Update”, where the download button should be- Making it impossible to keep my software up-to-date…
I have found a way to fix this problem-
Simply delete the ENTIRE Blackberry App World App from your application list, then re-install it again after resetting your device.
When you open the Blackberry App World, it should now have an, “Update”, button underneath, “Run”.
So sadly, the new version fails to fix these issues, making it seemingly pointless to update. (Especially since there is no change log either)
But feel free to download it anyway and have the pleasure of waiting through yet another device reboot…
Download it OTA Here,
Or alternately from the Blackberry App World. If you even can. (Ironic)
